Day 367

This is going to be short because I need to go to bed!

Today was great, dinner with the girls was also quite nice.

Tomorrow is my weigh in and my fear is that I am going to gain some or maintain. Its my fear because I ate that burrito this week, and because I lost so much weight last week. I was good last week but I was also really sick and dehydrated. I'm hopeful, and I'm going, but I'm nervous. I don't want to let myself become discouraged. I wont let myself become discouraged. I can do this no matter what tomorrow holds I am back. Heck, as long as I have been here at this (a year) I am still learning and growing (In a good way!).

1/2 subway sub w cheese and mayo: 7
1 serving dark chocolate: 4
1 slice of pickle: 0
1 serving rice crisps: 3
chocolate chips (I had a moment): 4
2 serving spinach: 0
1 serving broccoli: 0
1 serving carrots: 0
1 serving pickles: 0
2 slices cucumber: 0
1 sliced jalapeno: 0
1/2 serving beets: 1
2oz (less) lean steak: 3
2 servings light ranch: 4
1 serving gluten free mac and cheese: 8
1 serving low fat rice crispy treat (I avoided the absolutely decadent gluten free chocolate cake I made for a friend by making these!): 3
bites licks and tastes: ?

All in all it was a good food day. On days when I am cooking a lot of new things I am inevitably tasting. This isn't an issue so much with low fat or fat free recipes, but for other things it can be. I didn't go overboard or anything. I wasn't taking bites when people weren't looking but I was tasting as I went. I think the system I am going to keep from now on is for every 3 blt's (bites, licks, tastes) I am going to count a point. Lesson learned.

"I wont let myself become discouraged."

Well, you definitely have the right mindset! That we do have a choice as to our attitude. Sometimes it's a fight to grab on to a good attitude (boy, do I know!) but we need it.

I know that no matter what happens at that weigh in, you will be fine. You will either celebrate, or ride it out, knowing you will win in the end!

Try not to place too much importance on the scale. I know it's very hard because I'm right there with you...but you're putting too much pressure on yourself. You're afraid you won't lose any weight and you're afraid you'll maintain...but we all have times like this, especially with how much weight we're trying to lose.

Look at what you've accomplished thus far. Most people struggle like hell just to lose 10 pounds and you are rock'in 94 pounds lost, girl! You are an amazing example of determination!! You have already achieved so much!!! Focus on the AMAZING accomplishments you already have and if the scale says you maintained...give it a good kick and a four letter word and keep on stepp'in.

You are almost at a 100 pound loss. That's amazing! If you don't hit it this time, we all know that you will...and very soon. Just give yourself a little time and a little grace...and take the pressure off. You got this!

That is so true, our learning process never ends! You have good insights, and I love your determination. Whatever the scale reveals next, never give up! Your weight loss (so far) proves your plan is working for you! Keep your eyes on the prize!! xx

I can't wait to hear how your weigh-in goes. I'm loving your attitude. And no matter what happens, you'll keep prevailing and I'm very proud of you. :)

I'm a new follower to your blog - and I am totally cheering you on. You will do fine - and I love the little rule you are making for
the BLT's. They do add up if not kept in check and your system will keep you accountable for them. Good job!

Love the "BLT" idea - that's a great system to help keep you on track! I'm always baking for people and unfortunately I'm a notorious snitcher, and those little tastes add up!

I'm so behind in my reading, lol. Dinner was AWESOME. It was so nice to have a completely sinful treat with my friends for once!

The other day dh came home with Ben n Jerry's new "Limited Batch" flavor. Flourless Chocolate Cake. OMG Heaven.

Email me anytime you feel like talking. It's a long journey, and sometimes it gets tough. But we can encourage each other and stick together. And we can DO this!

Hey, I also hope you are okay. Back in 2001 I lost 100 lbs in less than a year. Then I got so tired of trying so hard and failing and not losing anymore...I just decided to take a short "break". Well, that break turned into a year that put the 100 lbs back on! So here I am 9 years later, trying to take it off, again! Don't give are worth all the struggles. Don't wait until after the holidays. Try to get back on track now. You can do it!! ~Sue
